Steps to export live animals
Is exportation into that country allowed and what are the requirements?
Request requirements from the importing country. For your convenience, we have listed those that are the most common:
- Aruba
- St. Maarten
- St. Eustatius
- Suriname
- or have a look at our information flyer
Note: these import requirements are prone to change without warning. It is advised to always contact the competent veterinary authority of the importing country to inquire about the latest import requirements.
Obtaining an export certification:
- Present the latter requirements to your accredited veterinarian, who will examine the animal(s), treat, sample and certify as instructed.
- Your accredited veterinarian submits a digital application for an international health certificate through the online portal
- You as the owner or exporter will be instructed via email to submit additional information and complete the payment. An invoice will be sent to your e-mail
- UO VZ will evaluate the sent documentation:
- The documents are complete and comply: A digital International Health Certificate will be sent via e-mail. This certificate has a validity of 14 days.
- The documents are incomplete or do not comply: resubmit requested or additional information for re-evaluation.
Ready to ship
